Emergence of New Indian Players Attracts Interest

India’s emerging LNG player Swan Energy has entered into regasification agreements with local state firms for access to its floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU), which would become one of the country’s first privately owned import terminals, a company official said at an industry event Thursday. The 20¬≠year agreements have been signed with Gujarat State Petroleum Corp, Oil & Natural Gas Corp. (ONGC), Bharat Petroleum Corp and Indian Oil, Swan’s vice president for commercial, Hitendra Solanki, told delegates at the Asia¬≠focused CWC World LNG & Gas Summit.
